What is psycho-energetic?
‘Psycho’ refers to the Greek word psyché, meaning soul.
The word ‘energetic’ refers to the Greek word energein, which means ‘realize’
Psycho-energetics thus refers to the reality of the Soul with one central question: how can our soul realize itself in our reality.
Psycho-energetics refers to a whole of knowledge, insights, values and abilities concerning the best possible functioning of the human psyche (principle of life, soul), looked at in its most integral and multi-dimensional aspect.
In other words, psycho-energetics studies the multidimensional and subtle-energetic aspects of human communication, behaviour and consciousness
What is EPECA
European Psycho-energetic coaching association
EPECA (non-profit organisation) is a European professional association who aims at finding acceptance in every professional context for all the new possibilities and skills which are developed during the course of psycho-energetics.
We give special attention to ‘new’ professions of the 21st century.
Psycho-energetic coach with all its specialties like psycho-energetic Vitality Coach, psycho-energetic Home and Surrounding Coach, psycho-energetic Grieving and Life-Ending Coach, psycho-energetic System Coach, psycho-energetic Trainer.
The EPECA trainings are orientated towards people who want to bring more deepening in their professional life. The focus of these trainings lies on the subtle-energetic and multi-dimensional aspects of human communication, relations, and consciousness. The final goal and result is that participants experience an increased own intuitive consciousness and intuitive abilities, which is put into practice in an integrated way in their professional life.
EPECA attunes its criteria for certification to international and European standards and works according to European and international agreements on certification of coaches.
EPECA addresses itself to participants coming from the assistance and care sector or from educational circles, to participants with artistic, creative and commercial functions and people with managerial or organisational professional activities.
EPECA is open and pluriform
With open and pluriform we mean that we are not attached to one existing religious conviction or system of faith. Systems of faith with an origin in different traditions are studied and used. They often work with the same presumptions or starting-points.
Sources of spirituality are found both in the east and the west and both in contemporary trends and in old and passed traditions.
The main thing for us is the difference between a system of faith (a whole of convictions and presumptions on reality) and the spiritual or transcendent dimension.
Systems of faith function on a level under the identity or individuality level. The spiritual dimension exceeds this dimension and is much less accessible through presumptions, ideas, or collective presentations, but much more through own experience and self knowledge.
In that sense we use the word non-confessional spirituality: it is about the universal experience of sense and meaning, non attached to or transcendent to faith systems.
Learning through experience, open interpretation and share experiences will characterize our methodological approach.
Multidimensional
A multidimensional image of man and world starts from the presupposition that the physical reality is only one dimension of a much larger reality in which we live and exist.
A multidimensional world-picture enables us to formulate possible old and new hypothesis and to keep open new perspectives about man and the world, as for example:
- that dying is not the absolute end of life and existence;
- that the soul or the essence of a person or a system is not an abstract or philosophical concept but that it holds a reality that can be experienced;
- that to know and to understand can progress in different ways: through sensory perception, thinking, emotion, intuition, subtle sensation and feeling;
- that the world is a living system (a ‘Gaia’ with its own kind of conscience), which strives for balance and respect for its parts;
- that these different realities influence each other.
Annual training-course
To subscribe for a training-course of psycho-energetics is to engage yourself for a thorough study of the total potential of the human soul, in its broadest aspects.
The word ‘psyche’ – soul refers here to the full human psyche, referring to the fact that we all are more than our actual personality.
During this training-course you will investigate reality in an open way, without any dogma or supposition. Through your own experiences and those of your fellow students, a situation of broadened conscience, more refined experience and deeper understanding will slowly come about and it is directly linked to your own feeling and physical experiences during different exercises and applications.
There is no presumption or dogma as basis, only experiences, study and the knowledge that own prejudices are relative. Those are the building-stones of your growth.
After specializing in conscious observation of the multidimensional reality in which we live, on a material, psychological, mental and subtle-energetic level, you gradually learn to experience the impact of the transformation power of the soul’s energy on the matter itself.
We explore the total potential of human conscience. When you free the transformation power of your own strength of soul, this leads to the realisation of the soul on the widest level.
This process will not happen by focusing on ‘higher energies’, sources of ‘light’ and ‘wisdom’ coming from a supernatural origin. No, the focus is on the exploration of your shadow, the integration of split off and denied aspects of the Self, as well as on the experience of the ‘Total Human Being’. Throughout the whole training-course you are invited to set going different stagnated aspects of your human functioning, to set going your own energy, to take your life in your own hands and to break through the boundaries of separation and denial.
The ultimate goal of this training-course is to teach people those skills that enable them to make fundamental changes in their own psychological and material situation , and -consequently - enable them to initiate similar processes in their surrounding. All this in ethical harmony with all the dimensional aspects of life on earth.
Students describe it often as the simultaneous development of the ’wisdom of the heart’ and ‘the opening of the eye of the soul’, as the attentive learning to live in continuous synchronicity with the multidimensional aspects of life.
Four different levels of competence
Participants receive a training certificate after two years of training and a test.
“Practitioner in psycho-energetics”
The word ‘practitioner’ refers to the possibility to put knowledge into practice, to practise and integrate it in a useful way in the existing (professional) activities and in life itself.
After three years of training the participants receive the certificate
“Master practitioner in psycho-energetics”
In the Master Practitioner the accent lies on learning to develop and create new multidimensional models that can be put into practice in the professional context. At the same time you get to know the different domains in which psycho-energetics can be practised and how it is also explained in the light of contemporary psychological trends and science.
“Training for psycho-energetic coach”
The accent lies on the coaching and developing of multidimensional skills in other people, both individuals and organisations.
After the training of Master-Practitioner you follow an extra training with supervision and a number of extra modules and terms of probation, both inside and outside the association.
“Psycho-energetic co-creator”
You form part of a multidimensional network in which, together with others, you examine multidimensional rules. Then you start to develop creative applications so that new realities can come about. You are per definition active in a study or experimental group.
In what way is the training-course psycho-energetics renewing?
You get an integrated, applicable and renewed training course, during which you will not only increase your knowledge but also your human skills, your health will improve, your relationship will be renewed and the meaning of your life will open up to you progressively.
When you re-enter into relations with the powerful psychological dynamic of the soul’s energy in your every day life, you get such a kind of renewing impulses in your life that literally everything gets different.
The key moment comes at the time when you get conscience that everything is linked with everything, directly and indirectly. At that moment the “Descent of the Great Spirit” starts, the unnameable “super mental” energy. The student will then take back his natural position in the total system of living wonder on earth to assume his task and responsibility.

The professional association was founded under the name of

The activities extend over the whole territory of Europe.
The association aims at assisting, supporting and improving the professional practice of the members.
EPECA tries to reach this goal by
- defending the common interests of the psycho-energetic coaches while practicing their profession and seeing to it that the profession is respected and socially recognized.
- determining standards and making them applied, about the level of competence expected of a psycho-energetic coach and which is reached after following the complete training-course and life long learning.
- organising trainings and refresher courses for the formation and in order to keep the recognition of psycho-energetic coach
- developing a ‘body of knowledge’ and network in order to enable the exchange of theoretical and practical knowledge, of views and methods
- participating in scientific research, adapted to the particularities of psycho-energetics, and in external evaluation
- determining deontological standards and making them applied, regarding both the relation between the member and the clients, and among the members themselves
- helping the members to fulfil the conditions that apply for the practice of the profession of Psycho-energetic Coach, such as insurance, registration, etc.
EPECA attunes its criteria for certification to international and European standards and works according to European and international agreements on certification of coaches.
(Aspirant-)members of EPECA (certified or still following the course) are informed of all developments in the field of psych-energetic coaching.
The certified members of EPECA can use folders, flyers and the logo elaborated by EPECA.
EPECA has an own website on which a list of certified psycho-energetic coaches is published.
EPECA (non-profit organisation) is an initiative of the
Timotheus project
The origin of the Timotheus project lies in the year 1993 and was generated by the cooperation between a number of men, supported by their wives, who joined hands to find new answers, ways and solutions in a society, a world in crisis.
Basic idea at the start was to be a project that links spirituality with human growth and social innovation.
The literal meaning of the word Timotheus is (honour to the divineness), referring to the origin and destination of what we call the ‘human adventure’. The word ‘project’ refers to the search inspired by the living source of the large traditions of wisdom and religions, beyond the boundaries of religion and ideology.
The Timotheus project is independent of each religious, philosophical or political movement. This independence guarantees the intellectual and spiritual freedom of the project.
The driving-force of this project is the consciousness and the experience of the super-mental reality who brings man close to his power and responsibility as co-creator of society in this world.
EPECA is the most recent initiative of the Timotheus project.
Timotheus is the oldest and best known organisation, active as an official and subsidised specialised training institution in the field of intuitive development.
